Post-Christmas Sales at Centrepoint!

Everyone knows that Robinsons's having its Traffic-Stopping Sale and yes, the prices are low after discount. For instance, blouses from Le Range cost about $55 after a 20% discount from the original price of about $70 and some Embre blouses cost $33. Pollicini bags cost $20-30. There are some Pashmina shawls too. To me, the discounted prices are still too expensive but Robinsons has always been outside my league of shops. These brands are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors.

Marks and Spencers too is having a 50% discount off its prices. Hush Puppies is having a 20% discount off and Club Marc has some items costing $5-20. Dano is having a 20% discount off its prices and Mango is having a 70% discount off its prices. These are on the 2nd floor.

Some other places on the 3rd floor should not be forgotten too. There is a pushcart selling Turkish handicrafts and it is having a closing down sale. Some items are rather unusual, like carpets and belly-dancing costumes. One of the costumes costs $89, just to give an idea of the prices.

My first camera, as you should have known by now.

I bought the pink one as it looked the nicest and is my favourite colour. I've been using it a lot and uploading the pictures on my computer. :) It is the newest model PowerShot E1 at $319.

Striking Christmas decor(2): Joshua's house

So simple, this crib set, but, is what makes it outstanding. Helped me focus on the spirit of the songs when carolling.

Candy-like tree with its plastic baubles.

Wine charm on the base of the glass, so classy-looking! It is a colourful wedgy flip-flop in blue and pink pastels. Reminds me of the bright pink slipper pendant I have.

Striking Christmas decor(1)

The best so far in Vincent's

years of Christmas decor
for SFX Parish:truly magical
with the lights, and of course,
bringing out the TRUE meaning
of the season:Christ is born,
Alleluia!

Vincent's crib next to the sanctuary,
which never fails to fill me with awe
and which prepared me for the
Pageant before I went for the
technical run.

Vincent's "Robinsons' Tree"

ornamented with decorations
from the anchor store.

Some Christmas outfits I found striking

Andrea's outfit is simple, decent and yet trendy for girls her age. I wish I were her age so I can pair my strappy tops in this way too! Instead, I pair them with cardis. :S

Tricia's blouse is ethnic and so boho-chic, the upcoming trend for 2009. At the same time, it is suitable for Christmas on a more informal basis.

Mr Men has come back again! It was a popular cartoon and book character back when I was a kid, about 25 years ago. This is Theresa's top.

Christmas is popping out!

There are more and more semblances of Christmas in the shops. Marks and Spencers has its recommended gifts for all ages and types of people, its cards and wrappers at its Centrepoint branch.

Early Christmas!

It's only late October and yet I see little touches of Christmas popping up around town. Oh, this sounds so literary! It can be the first line of a poem!

I first heard about Christmas rearing its head from my cousin who told me that Robinsons has its trim shoppe up. I went to the one at Centrepoint and I felt like a little girl all over again. There were musical boxes, train sets, trees, ornaments, tinsels, cards. I had a wild time walking through the section. A certain ornament caught my eye and I looked at it more than once. It is a handspun glass chandalier in a black box with a transparent plastic cover. It costs $19.90. It was so intricately designed, "so pretty" as my best girlfriend Gi would say.

I was at Marks and Spencers yesterday and christmas themed candles are up on its shelves! The outlet at PS has 2 scents: Mandarin, Clove and Cinnamon, and Frankincense and Myrrh. It is a big candle, with scented wax filling a glass holder. I had been waiting for them for a long time. My excitement was evident when I saw them. The same scents are available as room sprays and potpourri too. Then I went to the one at Centrepoint. It has more candle scents like Spiced Apple and Winter Frost.
