Dogs living in style

Since dogs are the most popular pet humans adopt, the media has been covering owners' treatment of their dogs.

Some owners dress their pets up in Chinese chinoserie costumes to usher in the season while some others take their pets to a groomer to be groomed for customized red packets. The red packets they then distribute will have the picture of their dogs on them. A bakery has come up with festive dishes to pamper dogs during this time too. Some dishes are Hainanese Chicken Rice and Yusheng, in the form of dog food.

The dogs will certainly enjoy the specially prepared dishes but one wonders what they think of being groomed and dressed up. I doubt they're really that enthusiastic about these. To them, it's a cumbersome and uncomfortable process to go through.

Some owners have a probable reason of wanting to show their pooches off; of creating a good impression on others that they love their pets and are rich enough to spend on them. When it comes to the crunch and the dogs get old and sick, some owners have no qualms about abandoning them. Such a fickle and selfish attitude this is!
